EPL Review: Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers
Sunderland
The Black Cats most inspiring midfielder, Jordan Henderson, had been praised by his manager for his impressive performance so far this season for Sunderland.
Steve Bruce said: "He is the modern-day player. He is constantly at 13km a match, which takes some doing. He's 6'2", he can run up and down, but for me the biggest attribute he has is not just his football ability, but he wants
to be a football player. There are no real distractions for him and I hope that continues. I will do my damnedest, as I am sure his family will, to make sure he keeps that attitude because all the kid wants to do at the minute is play football, which in this
day and age is quite refreshing."
Recently, Sunderland shocked the whole world when they thrashed Premier League title holders, Chelsea, by three goals at Stamford Bridge. Sunderland has performed well against the top four side of Premier League. Steve Bruce’s men defeated
Chelsea and Manchester City, along with that; they managed to draw with Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspurs.
West Bromwich Albion
Roberto Di Matteo has hailed the recent performances from Northern Ireland winger Chris Brunt. The Baggies manager declared that his winger is an excellent player. He added that Chris gave them both quantity and quality. Roberto Di Matteo
also said that Chris had been in outstanding form since his arrival at West Bromwich Albion.
West Bromwich Albion is one of the three clubs which got promotion to Barclays Premier League this season and so far the Baggies have done well to survive in top flight football. They are on the tenth position sharing equal points with
Liverpool i.e. 16 out of 13 matches.
West Ham United
The Hammers will fight it out with their city rivals, Spurs to take over the London Olympic 2012 Stadium after both bids made it to the short list of two.
Margaret Ford, Chair of the Olympic Park Legacy Company, said: "We are very pleased with the extensive and serious interest shown in the stadium. We started this process to ensure the very best legacy for the stadium, and we
are now at a point where we have selected the two strongest bids. We will go forward to start negotiations with the two consortia of Tottenham Hotspur and AEG, and West Ham United and Newham Council. The stadium is a vital and vibrant component of the Olympic
Park - securing the most appropriate and viable solution is crucial for our long-term aspirations for the future Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park area."
Wolverhampton Wanderers
Marcus Hahnemann wants to stay at Wolves for another two seasons and join the band of goalkeepers who have played in the Barclays Premier League at 40. Hahnemann has often specified he wants to end his career back in his native America
in the MLS and will consider that option if no new deal is forthcoming at Wolves. But Hahnemann is keen to stay with the Midlands club for the foreseeable future as they prepare for Saturday's home meeting with Bolton Wanderers.
He said: “I want to stay at Wolves. Myself and my family really like it here, the set-up is great, the guys are great, and the staff are great. Everything has been top notch since I've been here. There is no reason why I want
to leave or anything. I'm just kind of waiting to see what happens. I can't stay if they don't want me to stay so we will just wait and see if they are going to offer me something. There are a couple of MLS teams and it might be an opportunity for me to go
back. But if I have the choice I would like to carry on at Wolves for two more years if I was given the opportunity”.
