EPL Transfer Rumours: Chelsea and Manchester City
Chelsea have revived their long-term interest in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-c33030 Aguero, as they look for fire power up front, with the London club reportedly considering a €45 million bid for the Argentinean striker.
Aguero has previously expressed his liking for the English Champions and it looks like a big money move is on the cards as Carlo Ancelotti aims to reinforce his aging squad.
Aguero current contract has a buy-out clause considerably less than his previous contract. He is happy to stay in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 and play for Atletico Madrid, but a chance to play in Champions League could prove to be too great an incentive for the 22-year-old striker.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 will have to pay the entire amount of his buy-out clause if they are going to convince Atletico to part company with their most prized asset. The Argentinean ace has shown excellent form recently, netting seven times in 14 games so far for the Madrid-based
team.
Edin Dzeko’s transfer to Manchester City is likely to be completed as he arrived in Manchester on Saturday to pass his medical and agree on personal terms. It is reported that a deal worth a whopping £27.4 million is agreed between the respective clubs.
This news will come as a disappointment to Juventus and Bayern Munich who had both hoped to sign the Bosnian striker who is expected to sign a five-year contract at Eastlands.
The 24-year-old will not be playing against Leicester in the FA Cup in the first weekend of January 2011, but will be in contention to make his debut, assuming all formalities are completed, against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wolves-c40952 in the Premier League next weekend.
Meanwhile, the imminent arrival of Edin Dzeko means http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Emmanuel-Adebayor-c12526 could be forced to leave title-chasing Manchester City; a loan move is in the pipeline as he looks to get more first-team opportunities. Premier League clubs Liverpool and Tottenham are
both said to be interested in the former Arsenal striker who is likely to move down the pecking order as Edin Dzeko jets in to Manchester. The Togolese star has started just twice this season.
City are unlikely to allow Adebayor to move to Tottenham, one of their closest rivals, while a move to Liverpool looks more likely. The Merseyside club is off the pace and has been struggling all season. Any move would require the club to agree to pay Adebayor's
£160,000 a week wages, something most clubs would be reluctant to pay, especially for a player as moody and prone to loss of form as Adebayor.
Real Madrid have been linked with Adebayor in the past, but they seem to have lost interest, leaving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 to swoop for the striker.
