EPL Update: FA probing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lee-Bowyer-c21864’s challenge to Bacary Sagna

Birmingham City player Lee Bowyer could be penalised by Football Association after stamping Arsenal striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bacary-Sagna-c7148.
Replays showed that Bowyer stamped Sagna twice during the 3-0 defeat to Gunners. In the first incident, Bowyer stamped Sagna on his knee as lay on the ground. In the second incident, he tried to catch him back of his Achilles near the touchline.
51-year-old English referee Peter Walton did not take any action on the reckless and unfair challenges by Bowyer and left them unpunished.
FA will decide about punishing Bowyer after consultation with match referee Peter Walton. If the referee confirms he did not see the incidents, then FA has the power to decide whether or not to charge Bowyer with violent conduct.
The ex-West Ham and Newcastle United player could face a maximum ban of three matches if the charges are proved.
After the tackles, a flared-up Bowyer was substituted by Birmingham manager.
Birmingham City boss, when asked about Bowyer’s challenge, said, “I have seen what happened but we need to wait for the verdict. Because it is inappropriate and hypothetical to say anything on that. Nothing has been done by the referee and the FA so far,
so I can’t comment on that.”
61-year-old Gunners Manager Arsene Wenger said, “We are happy with the way we played the game and we just wanted to focus on the game. I am glad that we talked with the ball but I don’t want to comment on Bowyer’s challenge as I have not yet seen the replays.”
Arsenal could not have started 2011 better than the astonishing performances put up by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roger-Johnson-c31524.
