EPL transfer news: Demba Ba joins West Ham United
Demba Ba recently completed his transfer move from the German club Hoffenheim to West Ham United.
The Senegalese striker and the English club have signed a four-year deal set to expire in June 2014.
West Ham United were chasing Demba as their squad needed reinforcements in the offensive department.
West Ham were knocked out of the Carling Cup recently after losing their mid-week encounter against Birmingham City. Despite giving a heroic performance, the Hammers fell short in the extra time period as Birmingham ended as eventual winners on the aggregate
score line of 4-3.
Demba Ba has been touted as the next big thing in African football as his traits of pace and physicality have been compared to the mighty http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044. But it remains to be seen how the goal scorer will cope up with the pressure of playing
in one of the biggest leagues in European football.
West Ham have also signed other stars such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Bridge-c36733 from Manchester City in the 2011 January transfer window. Avram Grant’s men are currently part of an on-going relegation battle at the bottom of Premier League table.

Hoffenheim manager, Ernst Tanner confirmed the departure of his star striker as he told the club’s official website, “We are happy we can close the Demba Ba chapter. After much to-ing and fro-ing this solution is the best for all concerned.”
Ba has scored six goals for Hoffenheim in the 2010-11 season from his 17 appearances.
In his latest interview to West Ham United’s official television channel, Demba Ba said, “It was a long story but now I'm happy because it had a really good end and I am glad to be here. I'm going to give everything to West Ham United. It's a bit difficult
to describe myself, but when I'm on the pitch I just give everything for the team I am playing for and the fans who support me.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Demba-Ba-c10812 might start in West Ham’s next league encounter against Blackpool at the Bloomfield Road. Avram Grant will be hoping that the new arrival will add an extra dimension to West Ham’s struggle to stay in the English Premier League for another season.
