Recent media reports have rejected any deal between Lille forward Eden Hazard and Arsenal.
Both are yet to reach any accord despite some reports suggesting the Belgian wonder kid had already agreed personal terms with the North London club.
The 19-year-old is held in high esteem by a number of Europe’s top clubs with the likes of cash-rich Manchester City and out-of-sorts http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 along with Manchester United thought to be monitoring the talented forward.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have also been linked with the two-time winner of Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year award, with French legend and Special Adviser at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane recommending the striker in person to the club.
Online reports on Friday suggested personal terms in the form of a pre-contract had been agreed between the Gunners and the player, with the only sticking point being the two clubs having to agree a fee for the Les Dogues playmaker.
The player’s agent and chief representative was eager to quash any rumours about his client’s immediate future.
He said, “That information is wrong. There is absolutely no agreement or pre-contract with any club at this moment in time. Eden wants to focus on Ligue 1 and Lille. We do not need to discuss his future.”
He reiterated his stance that the young forward is willing to wait until summer when a bidding war is expected to start between top European clubs. He said, “As I told you nothing will happen in January and in the future we will see, but the player just
wants to focus on Lille.”
Arsene Wenger has been scrutinising the player for sometime now, with the Frenchman confirming his interest in a recent press conference that he is an admirer of the talented Belgian international.
“Let us try to make his dream come true. We are following him. Personally I think he has real talent and the level needed to play at Arsenal,” stated the Gunners’ coach.
For now, Gunners have a number of striking options in the offensive department. There are also rumours circulating that Danish striker Nicklaus Bendtner is ready to walk away from Emirates and Arsenal have put a ₤15 million price tag on him.
