You know that M calendar thingy ma jingy, it lik totally claimZ the world will END in 2012, is this tru, what could those dirty mayens know anyways, its not like they were one of the most advanced civilisationz or anything, I bet they just ran out of paper, because they wrote their calendar on paper, just like we buy our calendar and its made of paper...errrrr. Im a total idiot that wants a real answer even though I cant get the theory right...errrrr. I'll die like the moron I am errrrrrr, eeeeeeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

This is a COMPLETE HOAX-- the Mayan Calendar does not END it simply rolls over into the next millennium-- on their calendar. Why would you place such accuracy and predictive powers on a calendar used by a DEAD CIVILIZATION!

yes, the Mayan calender does stop at 2012, and Nostradamus did have visions that ended at about that time period, which was when he just couldn't see anything else afterward. there was also this yen toss that scientists conducted that consisted of 3 yens and tossing them, followed by mapping the results. the high points matched up each time with important events in history like the tusnami and i believe the "end of the world". but no one can be too sure. the plates could collide, a mega disaster, it's any ones guess, don't be too worried. there isn't too much of a set theory, just one that is controversial

The reason most people think it is going to end is because a Giant meteor is Circling Earth and it is getting closer every year, the truth is it will take about another 20 rotations to hit us and one rotation take really long time. It will not strike in our lifetime.

As someone wrote a few weeks ago, the 2012 thing is only perceptible to middle school scientists and the rest of the world regards it as fraud, foolery and superstition.  That's when they have even heard of it.

Seriously, a little of the so-called evidence is highly dubious, and the vast majority of it is either flat wrong or straightforward lies.

Mayan calendar "long count" came to an end mostly because the numbers got too big for them to handle conveniently with their particular counting system.  They made no predictions.

Anyone who says they predicted the end of the world is lying.  We do not actually know exactly when this long count comes to an end anyway.  Looks like 21 or 23 December 2012 but it could be earlier or later.  Most of this c**p is based on faked up stuff written by a fraud who also claimed the Great Pyramid of Egypt is 15,000 years old.  He's lied before, he'll do it again.

Planetary alignments is a lie.  There are sites that show the positions of all the planets at any date and time from thousands of years in the past to thousands of years in the future.  We KNOW how fast each of the planets is traveling, we know where they will be thousands of years into the future.  The Universe itself will be getting tired before they line up.  It is literally trillions of years into the future.  

Galactic central plane stuff is almost correct, but we will be several degrees off an alignment as we are EVERY year.  No change in 2012.  

Magnetic flip is a pack of lies.  The magnetic poles will continue to move as they have always done.

no one knows when the world will end.No one has predicted that either actually.Not Nostradamus although many interrupt it that way.Their {the Mayans)calendar went over 800 years into the future.It was simply a stopping point.You can't know everything so guess you can join the rest of us morons.So many people are asking this question maybe you could give us your source of info.As I have not heard this,I am a great fan of ancient history.Many cultures had end time predictions but it mainly was for their own culture not the world in general.You have to keep in mind they lived in a completely different culture than we do,mostly to do with superstitions,more than facts.
