* read and retell

* processing instruction

Have these been successful techniques with your ESL students?

* dictogloss- I have enjoyed this method because different students glean different things from the text, when they work together to recreate the text they are learning from each other.

* read and retell- I like this method, but find it is less rewarding for the students.

* processing instruction- I don't know anything about this
