Question:

ESPN Fantasy Football Draft Problems?

by  |  earlier

My friend is running a fantasy football league for the third year now, and I'm trying to test the draft to make sure I can get it to work right. So I go to the 'Test Your Draft' option at the front page of our ESPN league, and it says I don't have Java installed. So I uninstall all of my java related programs and install the Java they say to use and even went to Java's website and installed it. Restarted my computer and I'm still getting the same page. Every time I go to the test the draft, I get this page no matter what.

If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

  1. You don't need Java installed. An hour before the draft starts, there is 2 link for you to go into the draft room. One of them is the Java one, and the other one says 'Lite Draft Application'. Click on that one, it's much better/simpler and you don't need to install anything. That's what I use.

This is the message on the league home page an hour to and during the draft.

'Your league's draft room is open! Launch Draft. Don't have Java installed? Try using our Lite Draft Application.

The draft room opens an hour before your scheduled draft time to allow all owners time to join.

Click the Lite Draft Application link instead of the Launch Draft Link and you're in.

  2. My dad is having the same problem, he used java's site and restarted and it still says install broadband / dial up java.  It may be an issue with your viru scanner / firewall.  Try temporarily disabling both and see if that works.  Otherwise use the lite version like Rick said.
