ESPN Poll declares National Hockey League’s Montreal Canadiens uniform the best in the sports world
Montreal Canadiens, which play in the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL), had their uniform declared as the best uniform among all the sports teams in the North America. This declaration was made after a contest was held by ESPN Poll.
This was another big achievement and a title for one of the most decorated team in that part of the world and a team that has already achieved so much in the sport of the ice hockey.
There were some 122 teams that were included in the competition and at the end, ranking looked like this.
Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League
Chicago Bears of National Football League
St. Louis Cardinals of Major League Football
Chicago Cubs of Major League Football
Boston Bruins of National Hockey League
Boston Bruins was another name that was familiar for Ice hockey fans as it is another NHL team, which was ranked in top five and got the title of “a traditionalist’s team”.
The ESPN website wrote about the Boston Bruins kit and the variety that makes it so special as it said,
"The Bruins' set has everything a hockey wardrobe should have: a strong, bold crest, sharp colors, tasteful stripes and a killer throwback option. First-rate.
The website praised Canadiens uniform and according to them, the Montreal based side has got everything in their uniform which was the criteria for the perfect one. Their design in good, the have got their logo, the white, red and blue colours and much more that made it special as ESPN wrote,
"Proud standard-bearers for a league, a sport, a nation and now for the uni-verse as well, the Habs have it all: an iconic logo, two distinct but equally classic uni designs (it's odd that the wraparound chest stripe only appears on the home jersey, but the road design works fine without it), and an ideal balance of red, white and blue. This isn't just a perfect hockey uniform set -- it's a perfect uniform set, period”.
There were nine other teams besides Bruins and Canadiens which got their name in top 50 as they were in the following order.
New York Rangers, Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Toronto Maple Leafs, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, Columbus Blue Jackets, New Jersey Devils and Chicago Blackhawks.
