ESPNcricinfo IPL Fantasy League guide: Pune Warriors vs. Chennai Super Kings
The ESPNcricinfo Indian Premier League (IPL) enthusiast have an opportunity to amass plenty of points today, i.e. April 30, 2012, as the Pune Warriors are all set to take on the Chennai Super Kings in front of the home-ground of the former.
With the likes of Yuvraj Singh, Aaron Finch, Steven Smith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Luke Wright in their side, it is indeed a wonder to find the Pune Warriors struggling the way they currently are at the moment.
The team is dangerously close to losing hope of making it into the playoffs, as they have nearly used up their nine lives.
The Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, are looking as good ever, with Michael Hussey, aptly known as Mr. Cricket, is in sensational form since the start of the latest IPL season and consistently creating a platform for his team to later build on.
Skipper MS Dhoni is also proving to be a real handful for the opposition, dealing immense amount of damage to them despite getting very little time on the crease.
The clash between the two teams is expected to be an exciting one despite both of them being on the opposite ends of the table. The reason for this is that the men in yellow have not been able to make the same impact in their away games as they have in Chennai,
the team fortress.
The IPL Fantasy League enthusiasts may be tempted to fill up their playing 11 with the Chennai Super Kings players, considering the superb form that the team has been in. That, however, will not be the most sensible thing to do, as creating a balance is
really important.
While Hussey and MS Dhoni are a must-have in the playing 11 for today, it could also pay off to add ‘Sir’ Ravindra Jadeja, who can take the opposition apart single-handedly on his day.
From the Pune Warriors side, Finch will be a good player to have in your team. Among the bowlers, Kumar would be an excellent choice, as he can swing the ball around and trouble the batsmen. Consider putting Singh in your team as well, as he contribute to
the team, both his as well as yours, with both the bat and the ball.
