ESSAY QUESTION HELP!?

Question

What were the methods used by both the Ancient Persian Empire and the Ancient Assyrian Empire to assure royal control??

Please help me i can't find the answer on any search engines and i really want to get this done...I have already finished 3/4 of the research and this is the last quarter of it...so with this answer it would really help A WHOLE LOT!! At least gimme a website with the answer on it or something...please!!!♥
