The auditors for the EU have refused to sign off the bloc's financial accounts - for the 13th year in a row.

A report by the European Court of Auditors (ECA) criticises nearly every major area of the EU's expenditure.

The auditors say there are weaknesses across the board and complain of neglect and presumed attempts at fraud.

The European Commission has blamed member states for audit failings, and says it has suspended £1.2bn in payments to English regions.

Oh what a surprise, and why pay endless accountants millions of Euros to tell us what we already know, ie that there is corruption on a massive scale plus enormous perks of which we know almost nothing,Neil Kinnock was appointed to look into corruption but of course he achieved nothing apart from getting jobs for his wife and family, ending up with a peerage and whacking great pension fund and many other benefits which would keep you awake at night if you knew the real extent of them.Interesting to see that the spell checker suggests that Kinnock should be KINK.

It seems all EU  ministers are tarred with the same brush, all inept double dealing cheats and liars. If they made some pretence of doing the job they are paid too much to do, it might help us overlook some minor transgressions, but they are blatant in their pursuit of self enrichment and power. How can they still be getting away with corruption on this scale? That answers itself doesn't it? Its BECAUSE the EU apple is rotten  to the core.  The reason we wont get a referendum is because They know we are onto them! What passes for honour and integrity these days? Old fashioned words, but we could do with a good dose of the old fashioned meaning!

This is what happens when you have an organization that is way too large.  When you have too many people, accounts, etc. to account for, you end up losing things.  The EU is often like a rich kid with too many toys to play with, eventually he will lose them.
