  1. 'Sharing' has a different meaning in American to English.

We will doubtless sign the treaty that will then fail to be ratified by Congress, so, like extradition arrangements with the US, this will be a one sided agreement. We will supply every last personal detail of European people to US security agencies who will sell it to US commercial interests.

In view of the limited protection given to foreigners by US law, I foresee the possibility that having obtained details of Europeans' credit card transactions, payments to suspect organisation will form the basis of arrest, imprisonment and even extradition by the US.

I think the time has long passed when Europe should have said no to US intrusion and if this means that there is greatly reduced transatlantic flights, trade and military cooperation then it is America's loss.

  2. no, this is another step America is taking for world dictatorship

  3. If it helps to protect the innocent, then it must be a good thing.

We can't 'do away' with criminals anymore, so,  more than ever, any system that will defend the vast majority of decent people in the world, should be employed.

  4. The EU and USA doing what they do best-Riding roughshod over democracy!

  5. its a two sided coin, it is the old big brother thing of all our actions and movements being monitored, but in these turbulent and unsettled times it is probably necessary

  6. OK so what does the EU get out knowing a lot of information about Americans. Most of them don't even know where the EU is.
