EVACUATION! WHAT DO I NEED!!!!?

im evacuating for hurr. gustav and im not sure what i need to take?

please helpp! thanks

To the previous responder's list, I'd add: photo albums, other collections, irreplaceable CD-ROMs and your computer, or at least the hard drive(s).

Here is what we take when we evacuate for fires:

Insurance papers (policies for health, life, auto, property)

Credit card statements and cards

Identification - driver's license (proof of address needed to get back into an evacuated area)

Check book

Birth Certificate/passports

Animal records - vaccinations

Clothing, toiletries, medicines, eye glasses, first aid kit

Water, dried or canned food

Last year's tax return/property tax records

Flashlight & radio with batteries

Toilet paper, tissue, wet wipes and resealable plastic baggies

Can opener, watch, blankets
