ok, well my dad is leaving to india this friday and i was wondering if i should tell him to buy me a cellphone from there or buy a cellphone from here which would be cheaper?? in particular i want an iphone so in canada it is 200$ with three year contract if my dad buy it from india would he get it for cheaper if he got it with no contract??? pls someone who knows indian prices please tell me QUICK!

Don't bother, the prices in India are quite expensive even by US/canada UK, standards, best buying one where ever you are now, after all, they will probably have been made in China anyway.

My t-mobile never worked in India and i had to trash it. Hope there is not the same problem with the Indian instrument not adapting to the system where ever you live.

It is much higher than CAN/US . There is also no meaning buying in India .

Indian price of Iphone is 22000 to 24000 ( 22 aug is launching date).So its better you get it in Canada itself.

don't bother. electronics goods in india is consider much expensive compare to western country.

i live in uk and go india twice a year - phones are expensive there.

plus it probly wont even be out there

found the cell phones the same price as back home or more expensive

in india the price is going to be about 12000-16000  which is much higher than ur $200 in canada
