If Abraham or Moses were alive today they would become Christian because Jesus Christ can easily be shown to have fulfilled the prophecies so God now dwells in people that have received His Spirit, that's why the Old Testament temple is destroyed and not re-built.

Jesus was born Jewish. Jesus fulfilled the Jewish prophesy of the coming Messiah. Upon Jesus' life, death, and resurrection, God's new covenant, the New Testament, was set in place. This is Christianity.

It is very important to read the Jewish scriptures as Jesus did. The law and the prophets (the Torah) are the books of the Old Testament. Reading the Old Testament is a tremendous way to understand many aspects of human nature as well as God's nature.

Histoy of Islam begins with Muhammad, There is not a single scripture that predatres Muhammad that agrees with Islam. Simply because the Qu'ran says something does not make it historicaly correct. The books of all of the prophets before Muhamad disagree with him and agree with each other....

Deut.13: 1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,

2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;

3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.

A prophet of God must be in agreement with the words of the prophets and the known word of God.

If an angel or a man preach a different gospel he is not of God.

I'm Jewish.  I think Judaism is right.  If I didn't, I wouldn't practice it.  I think Christianity and Islam are rather poor-quality imitations; however, if that's what someone else wants to believe, I don't care in the least.  We're not interested in converting people; as long as they don't bother us, we don't care what they believe.

Edit:  If you need to have Judaism "argued" for you, then it's not for you.  Find something else.

The Dove and Olive branch=The Holy Spirit etc there is honestly too much to tell, you need proper research. Revelation of Jesus in the Old testament should shed a lot of Light.

because in islam we admit Judaism as a religion of God and Moses PBUH as a messenger of Allah SWT. but christianity is the next level after Judaism, and Islam is the next level after Christianity.

we don't deny Judaism and Christianity, we don't deny the miracles Allah placed on the hands of Moses and Christ (PBU them) because they are true and the only LOGICAL explanation to those miracles is that they could only be from God.

so, committing to logical thinking, how else could someone account for the plain miracles in the holy Quran except that they're from God.

Go ahead and assume that Islam is wrong, but when you do that you must have a logical explanation to how such miracles could come if they weren't from Allah SWT, how could the Quran be flawless if it was written by humans knowing that orientlists have been trying to find one error in the Quran, but yet they couldn't.

there are more than 6000 miracles in the Holy Quran. i'll leave it to you to read and decide whether those miracles are true or not. and if they are, will you just reject them and refuse to believe or you will follow the sense and Logic    BECAUSE.......    it's easier to reject something than bother and try to change as man doesn't wanna accept the idea that all this time he was wrong.. he prefers to live a lie better than face the truth.

you can easily make sure that both Torah and the Bible have been modified and altered by men because of  the obvious errors and the plain contradictions they have now.. such modifications in the Torah misguided many jews from believing in Christianity. and those in the Bilble misguided many christians from believing in Islam.

so, to be a muslim u must believe in the original Torah and Bible as heavenly books from Allah SWT. and personall, that idea is most relieving to me.

Among the three, Judaism is the oldest and therefore that has to be the reference point for all religions. If you read Tanakh ( the religious texts of Judaism) you will find that there were hundreds of prophecies about a coming Messiah, a deliverer, who would come and deliver their people. That deliverance was supposed to be spiritual deliverance from people's sins. The Jews understood it to be a deliverance from their political bondage esp. from the Romans. That is why when Jesus came they rejected Him as the Messiah.

This sacrifice of Jesus was foreshadowed in types as they were instructed to sacrifice the animals which they had been doing for centuries. The animal sacrifice was supposed to take away their sins. But it was only a symbolic act. No animal can die for the sins of anyone since it does not know why it is being killed. Only a sinless person can die for the sins of others. Such a person could not be born by the natural method because all of us are sinners. Therefore God provided for man, a Person born of a virgin miraculously - incarnation - who could be sacrificed in place of the sinner. When a sinner realizes what it cost God to solve the sin problem and that the punishment for sin is death he sees the seriousness of sin and determines not to sin again with the help of God. Only then is he ready to be forgiven and receive the life that he forfeited by sinning. That in a nutshell is the message of Christianity.

Judaism on the other hand should continue with the animal sacrifices since it does not believe in the sacrifice of Jesus. Similarly Islam, it does not accept Jesus' death so their method of salvation depends on their good works which cannot wash away one's sins because sin requires the sinner's life. According to Judaism as well as Islam the sinners have no solution for the sin problem and a religion that does not address the sin problem is not worth considering.

Maybe I'm off here, but it looks like what you're after is, "What is the religion of Abraham?"

All these you mentioned start from there.

Israelites were sent Moses and Aaron with the Torah. Times went by, and errors happened in the worship. Many other prophets came to warn the Israelites back to the right Law brought by Moses and Aaron, eventually leading to Jesus, who came to fulfill the Scriptures and again, correct the wrongs in the adherence to the Law.

Here, the Israelites tried to kill Jesus and failed. They then taught that they had actually succeeded and Saul appeared. His teachings became Christianity today, turning Jesus into God, who is three in one, etc.

So, to correct these errors and establish the most complete and perfect final law, God sent Muhammad among the Arabs, a brother race to the Israelites. The Qur'an that was sent to Muhammad is still basically intact, translations aside.

So, the Qur'an is stil the truest Book we have in the world today. The errors in worship that have occurred since it was revealed are growing fast, though.

Judaism as we have it today bears no resemblance to the religion of Abraham or Moses. Its mainly based on the Talmud, rather than the Torah. The Torah is typically taken to be metaphorical, not taken as Law.

Edit: Saw the 'Let's go after other gods" remark in the answers, regarding Prophet Muhammad. The message he brought should settle that. 'La illa ha ilah la means there is no God other than God.

The Qur'an is filled with verse after verse commanding the worship of the One God, and prohibition of any other objects of worship, or even assigning partners to Him.

Hi.  It is my understanding that the Old Testament of the Bible is what the Jews read, is that correct?  It's Genesis through Malachi.

The Christians believe in most of the OT.  We love Isaiah and we read all those things about the Jewish history and take it seriously.  There are some very important prophecies in the OT about Jesus you know, such as Isaiah 53, Isa. 9:2 &6, and in Zechariah and in Psalms. in various places.  Isa. 53 is the part about his death.  It starts with the last two verses in 52.  Micah 5:2 foretells the birth of the Messiah which was to be in Bethlehem.  In Matthew 2:1, it tells that he was born there.  Isa 11:1-5 tells about Jesus also.  In John 1:1-3 and Col. 1:16, and Revelation 4:11 it tells that Jesus created the whole world and everything that exists.

In Genesis when it say "let's create" in a few places, it means God the father and Jesus the Son.  There are a perfect unity in the spirit, not three gods as the Jews traditionally think.  God the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are a perfect unity and that is possible in the spirit.

for me as a muslim i view religions as a chain that was ended with sending the last prophet to all mankind , mohamed peace be upon him , to correct what went wrong in the other religions , leaving us the holy Quran which is protected from corruption by god.

in Islam you cant just believe in mohamed peace be upon him but not in jesus or moses , or you wont considered muslim or a believer .
