  1. I went fishing to day and we caught 8 rainbow trout using worms on one hook and green past on the other. We live in Co. the fishing was great.

  2. on a good ole hot summer day for catfish your best bet is doc catfishing dip bait with docs worms you will see them there in all walmart stores, trout ,what i did one tome we were at the white river in arkansas i was looking under the rocks finding worms them kind of worms are better than store bought worms i betta i caught 8 or 9 in five min you will do great on what i told you

  3. Catfish: slab baits, nightcrawlers, stink bait.

Rainbow Trout: probably some kind of Carolina Rig or Texas Rig.

  4. FOR CATFISH THEY HAVE BAITS SOAKED IN BLOOD YOU CAN BUY THEM AT ANY BAIT SHOP,FLYS ARE A FAVORITE FOR TROUT, ARTIFICIAL FLYS.GOOD LUCK!

  5. worms

  6. Your question isn't specific enough.  Not all fish are created equal.  That means that not all catfish respond to the same bait with the same fervor and gusto.  Likewise, trout species vary enough also that not all trout gladly and willingly accept the same baits as would another.  As an example, you may do well using a small dab of liver for rainbow trout but would totally bomb attempting the same offering to a cutthroat.  A larger offering of the same liver may be totally accepted by one catfish kind but completely rejected by another.  And then another problem arises.  In some states and provinces, the use of liver is completely forbidden when used as a trout bait.  In addition, a state may allow such a bait in one waterway or lake, but not in another within the same state.  It is best to be certain before you go to the grocery store meat department for a purchase of liver.  If it is legal, cut the liver in a  long slender and tapered strip an inch or so long for the trout and offer it on a small egg hook.  (....unless you plan to catch and release only, in which case, you should NOT use bait, but lures and barbless hooks only.)  For the cats, consider a larger glob of liver on a treble hook.  Regardless of what you use, it is hard to beat the old conventional nightcrawler/earthworm for the trout.  And for the big catfish, a dead baitfish such as a sucker, etc. is hard to beat all though many will tell you that they score more with the commercial or homemade "stink" baits.  Just like beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so is bait in the eye of the fish...regardless of whether it is a trout or a catfish.  It is usally a good idea to experiement with a few options till you find the one that works best for your area, time of day, and water conditions.  Good luck.

  7. Corn, salmon eggs, night crawlers, dry flys or Berkley power bait for trout. For catfish, chicken livers, cut brim, or night crawlers.

  8. catfish... cut bait such as minnows cut up into chunks

    trout- flys/worms
