EVERYONE has the same shirt as me!?!?

Question

ok sooooo today was the first day of school and i wore this shirt in blue with a white cami under it:

but when i got to school i realized everyone had the same one. they weren't all the same exact shirt and they all had ones similar to it. i don't like wearing the same thing as other people becuz i don't want to look like i follow the crowd (even though i kinda do) but i don't want to get rid of the shirt cuz i like it a lot and spent a lot of money on it. any ideas of what i do to the shirt/ wear with it so next time i won't look like every single other girl in my grade?? thanks.

lol, just put a light fitted coat over it and some cute long necklaces...or u can buy an at home dye...like a red un and that wull turn the blue a redish purple and the white a red...and ul have a totally different shirt that no one will have since u added ur own thing to it...i dunno ha, my sister dyes white clothes she has that are stained or dirtied to where not even bleach can help...and they look pretty cool...or u can dye it yellow and get a green floral pattern and a yellow white part, or even dye it light blue to get the white to light blue and the blue darker or more saturated looking...or u cna produce a faded yellow bottom in the white sections and the blue fade to blue green...

you could...

-put a cute coat or vest over it to give it a different feel

-wear a long-sleeved shirt underneath

-wear a belt around your hips in a bold color

-pair it with some accessories that make a statement

-wear another piece of clothing (weird-patterned jeans, maxi skirt, etc.) that attracts more attention than the shirt itself

i'm not totally against ae or abercrombie or hollister (because they actually have some nice pieces, just too repetitive) but if you want to look different from everyone else, then shop at some other stores and dress them up differently)

Urghh, its so annoying when you just wanna be induvidual.

Thats why i customize my own tops, I recomend you'd try it.

That happens sometime. Pherhaps you coud tie dye your shirt or you can use fabric paint and draw a personal design on your shirt. But if you don't want to do anything of such then why not pair it with different accessories or clothes and turn it into a fashionable outfit. Be creative and you will always be a different.

a lot of girls like the flowery pattern on their shirt. so you cant help but wear the same thing as them.

you could wear it with a light blue cardigan or a cute vest or something.

but try to shop somewhere more original, you won't look like a clone.

To make it unique pair it with something unexpected, like a gigantic white beach beaded necklace, or a hobo or grungie girl necklace, look under stevemadden.com and type in these key words in the search box: XB-BIRD or XN-BIRD or just look under excessories. Everyone shops at American Eagle shop some where different if you don't want the same look as everyone else. Or dress it up with jewelry.

well, hun, you realize the shirt was at a store, and everyone can buy it so its not unlikely.

if it is the trend, people will think the others followit too, so you wont look like a wannabe, you coulg actually be considered fashionable.

but to mmake the shirt interesting, you could wear a bold neclace, or some bright shoes.
