  1. Of course, there are probably a lot of them that are made up, edited and faked. I have tried twice, and not gotten anything. However, I know a guy, who seems legitimate that seems to get really good ones, sometimes with clear voices. Could he be faking them? yes. Editing the tapes on a computer to make the sounds clear is part of the process. I think a lot of the ones on the internet are just everyday noises that have been manipulated to a point that they sound like someone saying something. Let us know if you get any. Also, if you go to the AAEVP website you see a lot of fake ghost photos which makes one question it.

  2. All the ghosts got together and decided that when humans have a tape or digital recorder going, that no one in the room will be able to hear what the ghosts say, but when you play it back the voice is on there.

There is nothing more impossible than that.

  3. Yes, without a doubt this stuff is real.  Even though I have entirely dealt with UFO-related phenomena, the deeper you go into it, the more and more merged they become.  You would have a hard time believing some of the stuff the governments (USA, UK, Canada, Australia, Russia, China etc), major corporations and private citizens are doing.

Some of it is a hoax.  Some of it is too strange to believe.

Such as a unit for an intelligence organization was employing people with spirit guides to gather intelligence on terrorists.

And that is just the tip of the iceberg!!

A Foreign government sucessfully contacted an alien species and asked them to side with them, which rightfully, this Alien species turned them down.

  4. EVP is absolutely real. There are plenty of fakes out there I'm sure. There are also some fake photos and such out there as well. I don't really give credit to orbs unless I have some really hard evidence and even then, an orb only means that there is energy in the area, it doesn't mean that there is a ghost. I recorded an EVP just a few days ago, it only said the word "hey" but that was all that I needed. I know that when I recorded, I had not spoken at all and no one else was with me so that word came from somewhere else. If you want to get EVP then you're going to need to get a good recorder. It doesn't have to be really expensive but the frequency range has to go low enough to catch EVP. Spirits comunicate at a much lower frequency than we do so when you load the EVP into your computer or an editing program then you will be able to see what frquency range this EVP was recorded at and then you can tell if it was a human voice or not. That is a great way to tell the fakes from the real stuff. Also when recording EVP you will probably have to try several times before you get your first one. I had to do this about 10 times before I got anything at all. You may end up with a spirit that has never spoken before and just as you learn how to talk and record them, they are learning how to speak to you. You have to give them some time to get used to it. Also if you will record everyday at the same time, it will help you. Another tip is to only record for about a min or two so that you don't have too much recording to go over. You should get the trial version of audition from adobe and load your recording into that and then just use it to clean up the recording. You don't want to clean it up too much though, just enough to hear if anything is there. A 1 min recording could take you up to an hour to listen back to. If you need any help with this just contact me and I'll be glad to help you. Good luck.

  5. EVP machines detect electro-magnetic currents which has been associated with ghosts. However EVP also will detect electrical currents through computers, microwaves, and other electrial devices so its questionable how reliable it actually is to identify ghosts.

Its quite easy for people to "fake" video tapes and photos as well. All one needs is a basic understanding of some graphic software and away you go.

But there are a lot of places where people can go to conduct a proper investigation. If this is something you are interested in, google "ghost and haunting society" along with the name of your state/province and see what you find. Most will let you join for free and its a great way to learn more about it and possibly even participate in an official investigation.

I personally have had a lot of genuine encounters, but I have been fortunate enough to have been able to see ghosts and entities since I was a child.

I have also had my some of my experiences backed up by people who actually know the deceased, and was even tested for a TV show. (that was quite fun and exciting)

Its quite an interesting field and I learn new things all the time, which I love.

    Good luck! :)

  6. I used to be  skeptic about EVP's until I found some for myself, and I am a paranormal investigator!  There is a website for evps at www.aaevp.com or you can check out some of mine at www.chippewavpi.com!

  7. I'm sure there is a real phenomenon. There are also fakes.

I have spoken with people who I thought where actually there. But the person with me asked who are you talking to. When I turned to point out the one I was talking to they had disappeared. This has happened to me several times.

  8. No it isn't real it is just your imagination.

  9. have seen & felt some crazy things

  10. Yes, there are people that go out and waste time on this, looking for ghosts.

  11. I'm not going to deny that there are some people out there that fake evidence for fame or attention. However, the paranormal is real. I am a paranormal investigator and our team takes thing so seriously that we rarely even give orbs credit because there are so many enviromental factors that can cause them. I never believed that you could get voices of people that were not present on a recorder until I witnessed it for myself and eventually starting getting them too...it was amazing. If you want to learn first hand. You should look up you local team (hopefully they are a crediable one), get in contact with them. Alot of teams will allow guests on investigations, provided they get to know them first to make sure they aren't quacks themselves! Or to learn more about doing it yourself, you can research it online or join a forum like ours (and no, it doesn't have to be ours, but you are more than welcome). We are at icpir.org. Just look for the forums link! Hope this helps!

  12. Yes, the Paranormal is, indeed, real. There are, it goes without saying, many fakes and fakers out there who for  fun or profit strive to fool people with tricks and lies. The same holds true for any of a number of sciences or psedo-sciences. Did you know that, on his deathbed, Charles Darwin confessed that a large percentage of his "findings" in the Galopagos Islands were frabricated?  Tis true indeed. The biggest shennanigans are the multitude of "palm readers", tea-leaf readers, "psychics", etc. who take advantage of people who are experiencing some psychological event which causes them extreme turmoil...or are just simple-minded. Most assuredly there are indeed true psychics who actually help people, and the authorities, to find answers to actual problem events. Of which there are multitudes. The truth is in the results, of course. I, personally, have been a Paranormal Investigator for over 30 yrs. I was even priviledged to work in Jamaica for 2 yrs. and was able to earn my doctorate in Paranormal Psychology (not an accepted curriculum in the US) at the University of the West Indies and am able to apply the acquired knowlege to my chosen field of endevor. I work full-time as an Investigator based in New Orleans, LA. and I have a little public website: ghosthuntersneworleans@yahoo.com where I post some of the photographic results I continually receive during my Hunts. I do not post photos of private Investigations, of course, because of privacy issues and professional ethics. Never-the-less there are some pretty interesting material posted if you care to peruse the photo files. Indeed there are, as someone mentioned, many good groups around the country that have a lot of good, exciting fun Hunting Ghosts. Also, if you are serious, you can always form your own group locally. If you choose to do so, please, first learn all you can by visiting as many websites and gleaning all the information you can. 13. the spirits who have passed are still there their own person, not 'made up or farcical'. i have had experiences of  spirits ... hate the word ghost

  14. You'll get plenty of answers from woo-woo's claiming that had some such experience with a ghost, but talk is cheap. No, there is absolutely no credible evidence yet for ghosts, goblins, vampires, poltergeists, telekinesis, clairvoyance, etc.

  15. Who knows....but I have a great holloween prank where i was able to fake one.    To this day my circle of friends speak as if it was real......I don't have the heart to tell how it really happened.....Long story very short there was a walkie talke hidden near the recording device. Before the recorder was placed in the graveyard.  The evp was transmitted from down the street.   Too funny and too good of a prank to come clean.
