Holism would include any cultural activity or artifacts that are shared by all humans.  Speech is one example.

Cultural relativism is looking at a culture from the point of view of a member of that culture. This includes learning to think in the concepts of that culture, not just observe the behavior or study the language of the culture.

Cultural relativism would require the anthropologist to learn the language and the thoughts behind speaking the language as a native to the studied culture does.
