  2. there are a number of forcasting methods that a company could use quantitative and qualitative, some time series componants are  cyclical componant, seasonal componant, trend componant, snd irregular componant.  you can also use the smoothing method, which method to use would greatly depend on what you are selling or what type of business it is.  without more detailed company information it is difficult to suggest the best method.
