i got hit with a bamboo stick at the end of a kung fu perofrmance when bowing(embarrasing i know-lol) but i went down smack onto the top of the bamboo stick and i had a bleeding eyebrow and eye lid and blurry vision for a couple of seconds, but my sight is now fully recovered, i had two tiny drops of blood in my left eye just below the socket (where i had hit it) BUT they have now become bigger and more spread out and dripping on the inside of my eye under the guey protective film, i am wearing contact lenses and they seem to be keeping the blood away form the coloured part or my eye(because the blood is travvelling around the contact lense) a friend says it is just dispersing but i don't know whether it is it does seem more yellow as the blood travells further way from the spot it started at,

i am just a little worried and i wonder if anyone could answer my questiona nd give me peace of mind that i am not going to wake up blind in one eye tomorrow

thanks xx

  1. If I understand you correctly, your eye is bleeding? Within the outer membrane? If this is correct, you should call your eye doctor to be sure that it won't be a problem. That membrane continues around your whole eye, and if the blood builds up... well, I don't know if it could be a problem or not. I do know that it doesn't hurt to give your doctor a call.

    Good luck!

  2. You need to see an Optometrist. It could be that the blood is just dispersing, trying to be absorbed back into the body, but it could be that you injured you eye worse than you think, that's not a chance you want to take with your eyes. This is a medical issue, so your medical insurance should pick up the bill. Give your doctor a call and get in as soon as possible.
