  1. We are adapting systems to  ensure that our planning always follows the same pattern: observe, plan, review, and our policy is to watch the children in our settings to ensure that we provide activiteis for each of them that are suited to their current needs, interests and developments, we have worked hard on personalised planning.

We are also very proud of our mentoring scheme to support practitoners in their work and to encourage reflective practice, we value the key elements of effective practice and use this as the basis for our evaluation as a setting and in our induction process.

I am an Early years Professional, having attained EYPS and  i am lucky enough to have  the suppoirt of a team that shares my vision for creating an outstanding setting in partnership with parents, enablng environments, valuing the unique child and dedicated to positive relationships.

I love the new framework and am excited about the professionalism it will bring to the early years sector, thakns so much for asking this question.

  2. We are starting the change over over achievement records or "learning journeys" (hehe) in September...this term has been spent training and talking to parents about the change.

We displayed the poster from the pack and have now rearranged photo board to new labels, and have changed backing paper to match the 4 main areas...eg: health board-info on illness, first aid training etc is now the same colour as the health part (still learning new names of areas-sorry!)

and we have started new planning-our activities when written down now have targets or desired achievements from EYFS not the old stepping stones.
