  1. It would be impossible, logistically, given arena commitments. Never mind how the NHLPA would handle extending a season that already runs 9 months.

  2. There are some NHL players out there, particularly from the Red Wings and Penguins, who would pool their money for a paid hit on you for suggesting such a thing.

  3. Couldn't be done.  You forget that the teams all have training camp, free agency signings, and the draft.  Those things are what the summer is for.

Also, players need some rest after playing for so long.

  4. Hey Bill move back to Ontario. Hockey season never ends. We are presently in the annual ritual of fixing the Leafs. This is a never ending hockey exercise. Also this is the true sport season when Amateur Boxla begins. Now that the ice is out the rinks can be used for their true purpose. Playing Lacrosse. Even Calgary has some games played. Find out from your local minor groups when the games are. Get to some and watch the kids develop their skills. Who knows maybe you will find a future hockey star that you can cheer him on before others know who he is. Worked with me and Joe Nieuwendyk.

  5. i dont know what you shure are a math whiz

  6. Yeah but when would the players work on their golf swings?  NE Ways it's good to have a down time so teams can reorganize  if need be and so fans don't get burned out.

  7. They should do a summer NHL Roller Hockey season.

Wow I can't believe no one else would go along with the joke.
