Question:

Each Way Bets Horse Racing?

Any tips or advice to look for when doing each way in horse racing? Am going to start doing an each way double and each way singles everyday but was wondering if theres anything that might help? Not too bothered about not winning but coming 2nd or 3rd would be good. Maybe certain courses are best to bet on, age of horse, if they have visors or blinkers, the weight etc Thanks

  1. The thing with each way doubles is, when one lets you down. Used to do them but kept getting a big priced winner or placed horse and the other finishing out of the frame, it can be really annoying.

You can pick up some nice placed horses in handicaps by going for those in the low weights. Look for horses that,

are previous distance or course and distance winners

were in the first 8 places last race and have not won any of previous 4 races

    odds of 8/1 or higher

Plenty of winners and placed horses. Good luck.

  2. That's the way Value Scope in The Mirro has had his success.

    try here for info

  3. look at the horses that are carrying the least weight because they can nver confidently be ruled out. if the ground is soft or heavy you always have a chance e/w as sometimes you just dont know how a horse will react to the testing ground. also have a look at the jockey if ap mcoy or ruby walsh is riding one of the outsiders it will always have a chance.

    hope it helps

  4. look for horses that have run at the track/distance/going and keep making the frame or come 4th. they are usually there abouts in the frame when they run again there. i would suggest the all weather tracks as thay are regular and if you sign up to racing post online, you can view what and where the horses have done. good luck.

  5. if your betting e/w i would suggest handicaps of 8 or more runners

  6. I personally am not mad about each way betting as usually the horses I do are shortish priced and so is not value.

However, here is a "System" I was given years ago, and to be honest I never tried it, but it may be of interest to you.

    The 2 x 2 system

Find a paper that gives you the position of the winner in the market over the last say ten years. (I believe the Daily Mail does, but not sure) so 1111122222 would mean that the second favourite won it for the last five years and the favourite won it the five years before that.

What you are looking for is two races where the figures are predominately 2 or 3. as an example 2223330023

You then bet the second and third favourites in each race with each of the two in the other race as 4 each way doubles.

This type of race shows good odds generally and you should pick up more often than not and just occasionally you will have first and second in each race which will give you a good payday.

    Good Luck!!
