  1. 50p each way (cost £1) means 50p for a win and 50p for a place. The win money is lost and assuming you get 1/4 odds for a place you draw winnings of 1.50 plus your 50p place stake back, total £2.

  2. I think you get half of what you would have done if the horse had won. So it's 50p X 12 = £6-00, so now its £3-00 plus your stake money of 50p = £3-50

  3. A quarter of the odds i think. So it will be about £1.50

  4. It depends on how many horses are in the race as this determines whether it will be 1/4 or 1/5 of the odds.

    1/4 odds would be £2.00

    1/5 odds would be £1.70

To work out this bet you add 12 to either 4 or 5 depending on placed odds. So, 12+4=16. Then divide by either 4 or 5(again depending on placed odds) 16 / 4 = 4. and then divide by YOUR stake 4 / .50 = £2.00

    12+5=17

    17/5=3.4

    3.4 / .50 = £1.70

It is very complicated but after a while it is easy to work out.

    Hope this helps.

  5. Mandie is right it is 1/4 the odds for a place (some races go down to 4th)

If it wins you get the 12 to 1 plus i/4 the odds.

  6. Smichael is right . Don't listen to guesses.Best case £2

    worst £1.70.

Dont forget you get your e/w stake back.
