  1. The image is a generic one known to some as a mariner's cross - it does not represent a specific organization.

  2. It´s only a generic symbol. Anchor and eagle stand for faith and navy. The cross is the traditional Christian symbol and stands for faith, and the anchor stands for sea. The anchor also stands for hope, because when a ship travels, it always has an anchor with it, since it is believed that there will always be a place that the ship can put that anchor. US navy symbol is different.

  3. It's US Navy as noted by the eagle, there is no cross.  What you're seeing as a cross is the upper part of the anchor.  Granted it's a little shorter in real life but if it is supposed to be a cross it's for the religious seamen who should wear it.  I've seen similar ones in nautical magazines.

  4. It appears to be somewhat copied after the eagle and anchor jewelry that Carl Faberge' designed for the male members of the Czar Nicholas II household in St. Petersburg. That would be the Romanoff eagle perched on an anchor.
