Eagles' quarterback Michael Vick set to return against Dolphins – NFL News
After missing three straight games, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is ready to take the field on Sunday as his team faces Miami Dolphins in the week-14 game of the National Football League current season.
Vick missed the practice sessions during the last few weeks owing to two broken ribs, but this time he appeared in the sessions looking fit and took part in all the reps. He said that he was ready and excited to play on the weekend.
“There were times when I felt good out there and others when the ribs sort of wore down on me, but I finished the week strongly. I feel good, and I’m excited to get out there on Sunday.”
Eagles were 3-6 when Vick went down. In his absence, Philadelphia lost two games and could only win one. With the record of 4-8, Eagles are placed third in the National Football Conference East division.
Vick wants to make good plays for his team after the return and said that he wants to win all the remaining four games. He further said that accomplishing the task would be a challenge for the Eagles.
“Trying to finish this year strong will be a challenge for all of us. After such a rough start, we have to focus on one play at a time, one week at a time, and try to end the season on a good note.”
He was of the view that the players should only focus on the games and forget everything else. He urged his teammates to enjoy every part of the game and give their best shot in the remaining games of the season.
“We’ve let everything else distract us thus far, so our focus is to just go out there now and be the best we can be.”
Vick is playing his third season with the Eagles. He started his professional career with Atlanta Falcons in the year 2001 and joined the Eagles in the year 2009. In the nine games he has played this season, the quarterback has
completed 181 passes of 300 attempts for 2,193 yards. He has 11 touchdowns and a quarterback rating of 79.8 to his credit.
