Hello, ive been having this pain for at least a year or more now, it usually always tells me im about to get a cold but sometimes it just happens. I usually wake up to severe inner ear, back of eye and side of tooth pain on my right side. I highlighted on this image where the pain is :

I take so much pain killer medication its not funny, I get headaches all the time and doctors say just take tylonol or IBprofen but I am taking like a giant industrial sized bottle and its gone pretty fast.

some days Ill wake up with no headache, but some its pretty bad, and its usually not the normal "headache" cause this is really inner ear, back of eye, side of tooth pain.

  1. Have you had your teeth checked recently?  If you are having dental pain, it can be referred to your ear and eye.  That's a good place to start.

If you are ok on the dental front, ask your doc for a referral to a headache specialist, probably a neurologist or an ENT doc.  You are taking far too many OTC medications for it to be "normal".  It does sound like an inflammation of some sort, but it could be so many things.

  2. I went to the dr with a similar problem. He was no help but by chance the dentist was.It turned out to be my sinus. Even though I didn't have a stuffy nose my sinuses were swollen and that was putting pressure on both my teeth(one in particular) and my ear.

I'd had x rays done because my teeth were hurting the most and he showed me where my sinus was actually so low and swollen that it was pressing on the root of the tooth.

It may be way off base, but just thought I'd mention it. Hope it gets sorted, I know what a bummer it can be.
