Alright. I was recently at an amusement park and I went on a lot of rides. During the hottest part of the day, my family and I went to the water park in our hotel to cool off. While I was there, I got water in my ears. Usually I just shake my head and it comes out but this time it didn't and it was really annoying me so I kind of poured some water into my ears... We returned to the theme park and every ride we went on, I got off with a headache. My uncle (who's a doctor) thinks it's built up pressure and I've had it for about a week now and it's killing me! Every time I yawn I hear a little pop and it gets worse! And every time I hold my nose and blow, I hear a pop and it gets worse! HELP ME! PLEASE!

  1. Ask your uncle to look inside your ear and see if there's a build up of wax.  That would explain why the water isn't properly draining from it.  If it is a wax buildup, go to your local drug store and pick up a box of ERO Ear Wax Removal System.  Use it according to the instructions on the package.  It may take a couple of days to loosen the wax but once it's loosened, it will come out on its own.  It doesn't sound like it has turned into an infection yet.  If it were, then I would advise against an earwax removal and instead I would suggest you see a doctor about some antibiotic ear drops.

  2. not sure if this will help but for water in the ear, people traditionally puit a little rubbing alcohol in the ear and them after a minute tip head and let it run out.  this works by drying up any water trapped in the ear.

  3. You are only making it worse by blowing while holding your nose!  You are INCREASING the pressure inside your sinuses, NOT decreasing it.

If it has not drained naturally after a week - GO TO A DOCTOR.  You should not be messing around for so long.  You could have gotten an infection by now.  A doctor can drain the pressure in ways you cannot.
