Ear ache? Flying in in less than two days....?

I have a slight ear ache... it doesn't bother me when I'm not paying attention to it, but, when I apply pressure to it, it defintely hurts. I woke up this morning and it hurt quite a bit and I took some ibprofuen and it helped it out for the most part... of course the pain killer has worn off... I was hoping that I just slept on it wrong, but, I don't know how that's possible. I also thought it could be a pimple? But, this hurts way more than a pimple. In any event, I have to fly home Thursday... I can't really delay going home as college begins in a little over a week and I need to visit my family... I'm worried that I won't be able to fly. Is there anything I can do BESIDES going to the doctor? I won't have the time to get to my doctors before I leave :( Thanks for the help!!

  1. You need to go to the doctor and get some medicine--I think your ear is infected. Of course, I'm not qualified to practice medicine and I could be totally wrong.

You could buy over-the-counter "swim ear" or similar stuff that might work, but I'm not sure it would or not.

In any case, flying or not, see a doc when you can.
