Ear infection, home remedies? Does Hydrogen peroxide work?

I noticed last night that i am starting to feel an ear infection coming on. I have had many before i so i know what one feels like. I am searching for a hom remdie because I do not want to use antiboictics. I used them to much in my life. I heard Hydrogen peroxide works? Has this worked for anyone? What is your experience with it? How much did you take it? How long before it worked? If you don't think it works do you know of any other home remdies that do?

  1. It does help to get ear wax out, but you almost have to have someone else to work the ear and collect it as it floats up.

After it's all out, though, the focus needs to be drying the ear out.

Cotton balls and blow dryers are great.

Don't use OIL OF ANY KIND- it breeds fungus like fat in the fry daddy does when it's left out a few days!!!!!!

    Dr. told me that.

  2. I do it and it works pretty good. It cleans the ear out and kills infection and pain. Every time i have an infection I use it and it works.

I simply take a cotton ball and dip it into the peroxide and i then squeeze it into my ear with my head tilted of course. i allow it to stay in my ear with my head still tilted for about a few minutes. It feels weird at first, but then after a while you tilt your head back with a towel or something to catch it with and allow it to work its magic killing the bacteria with the oxygen and cleaning your ear out. It works everytime.
