Question:

Ear infection from swimming.

I went swimming about 2 days ago, and everything was fine until the next day, I felt that my ear was blocked and I had a slight hearing loss. Then the pain on my upper cheek/ear canal. I knew it was an ear infection. Is there any home remedies or things to do that will get rid of this? Or do I just wait it off. I'm too far away from home to go to my doctor.

  1. I had that so many times, so painful. You need antibiotics to clear it up. Waiting, it will get worse. Find a doctor where you are and get on anti-biotics.

  2. If your ear hurts when you pull on your ear lobe or push on the little piece of cartilage next to your ear, you probably have swimmer's ear.  You need ear drops from a doctor.

  4. I would say you need antibiotics or at best just to have a doctor look at it, there are urgent cares in the area you are at? if so that a suitable alternative.
