well first of all when i got it periced the first time. i didn't turn it because my percier didnt tell me too. so when i went to change it a bout 2 months later skin was attached and i pulled and it started bleeding. well for the last 6 months i keep turning it once a day and replaced it twice no problems. then i replaced it and skin was attached again even with the turning. its started to bleed and i got a bump on the front that went away after a week and a half. well then 2 weeks later went to change it SAME PROBLEM. and i got this lump again. then recently i hit my ear slightly when i was rubbing my neck and go figure its bleeds ( i cant tell if it was the lump or the hole). honestly i have no idea what the problem is, i wear a small hoop and turn it once a day when its wet and it seems like it keeps attaching, keep getting this lump after it bleeds from being changed. i've have my cartilige and its doesnt bother my one bit. any ideas?

  1. weel, clean them when they bleed, and maybe you should c like an earing store to c if they can help. or maybe if its really bad c a ear doctor

  2. if it is cartilage sometimes that never heals.  I had mine pierced twice and both times it never healed.

You could be allergic to the metal.  Try to hypo-allergenic such as sterling, or 14k gold.  not gold plated or filled.

  3. Use Saline Solution to clean it, never use alcohol for it inflames piercings.  Take some Ibuprofen if its swollen.  You need to look into getting something that's hypoallergenic or surgical steel.   Don't rotate it, because it irritates the piercing more.  If the bump returns, get some hydrocortizone cream and apply to the bump at night and wash it off with warm water in the am.  if you try all that and it doesn't look better in about two weeks, your body is probably rejecting the piercing.  Good Luck!

  4. 1] clean area daily when you shampoo, and

2] apply a dab of antibacterial ointment to 'hole' area - wiggle hoop back and forth and side to side, so it works into the hole.

3] if it is only one spot, and you have other piercings, it is not the earrings.

  5. There could be two things wrong: (Ive had similar experiences)

    1. Its swollen cuz ur allergic to the metal that your ear was pierced with (if u still have the same ones on). So change them. (gold ones?)

    2. the first time i got mine pierced the lady pierced my vein. I had to get them done again.

So put rubbing alcohol on them and Trust me try gold earrings, like 14 kt or somehting. You'll be fine. I was allergic to metal, still am. Good luck.

  6. Try getting a surgical stainless steel or titanium earring, you might be having an allergic reaction to what ever you have

  7. well i wouldnt keep changing the earring. id get a surgical steel or sensitive ear  earring because it sounds like your ear doesnt like the jewelry in now so it gets infected.

if you get new jewelry or before you put new jewelry in wash your hands and rinse the jewelry in hydrogen peroxide to "sterilize" it. that way you reduce the risk of infection or the jewelry becoming attached to your skin.

twist the earring twice daily while rinsing it with hydrogen or a piercing solution( one at night one in the am) you can get at your local Clair's store.

i have 7 piercings and they still get infected from time to time, the first two i got decades ago never have problems but newer one occasionally do and i think for girls it maybe long hair brushing against the ear and getting bacteria on it or touching your ear too much.
