Ear lobe stretching?

my ear lobes are at 3/4 of an inch and im planing on going to the full inch, my question is if i ever decide to say take them out will my ear lobes go back to normal? or is there anything i can do now to keep them from getting all retarded? k thanks

alright dude all these people are wrong my buddy had an inch and a half and his closed almost all the way up dont guage your ears for a trend if you are gonna guage them be prepared for the consequences ive got 2 inches and im am very aware they wont close
