well for starters the Royals could order the pictures not to be published. But you'd probably find (if it were a genuine photo which i doubt) that they would rather outbid any newspapers that showed a interest in it.

The Royals have blocked pictures/details being shown or released previously (for instance, pics of Diana when she died). Even american newspapers would be pressurised by the Government so as to not damage internation relations
