Hi everyone, I got my ears pierced 4 weeks ago, and everything went fine. In the last 3 days however, my right ear has been a lot more tender/boredering on being painful. Don't think it's infected, doesn't really look or feel infected, but....what's going on?! And what should I do??

  1. This happened tome with my first ear piercing keep cleaning it and if you haven't been then that's the problem and try not to lie on that side or when you brush  your hair try not to hit it with the brush  and idk where on ur ear its pierced like cartilage? Or just normal?  If its cartilage its going to hurt for a while I got my cartilage pierced a long time ago and when I lay on it ..it hurts so it may be normal but if it doesn't heal then I suggest taking them out and letting them close then get them pierced again when healing is done...hope I helped=)

  2. Try not to fiddle with it and keep on cleaning it, it may be a little infected, this happened to my daughters ears when we had them done so I took the earing out gave it a good clean and put the earring straight back in and it went down after a couple of days.  Be vigilant with the cleaning and it should be ok but if it doesnt go down go to your gp you may need antibiotics or worse case have to take the stud out and allow it to heal.

    Hope it gets better x

  3. I have one earring, when I first had it I was told to use surgical spirit on it and I was fine for years until I was told to take it out for a proceedure I was to have done at hospital, it seemed to have closed up in the two days I had it out and took a lot of getting back in, Recently I was living away from home and in the shower one morning I caught it and tore it out it was very sore, but the surgical spirit soon made it right after I got home

  4. Is that the side you tend to lie on more?

just carry on cleaning it with the solution they gave you, if you have not got any, get some from the place you had it done or use salty water on a cotton bud.

Try not to lie on that side.

  5. it's fine mine did that. It's because your laying on it and as you move in your sleep, you tear the inside of the piercing. whatever you do, when you take it out to sleep, put it in again in the morining. my ears were doing what yours are, and i had to stick a sowing needle through one because it healed up so fast.
