  1. gradually overtime put in an earing that is bigger and bigger and your peircing will stretch to the new size.

  2. Hi there.

Yes you can go to a piercing/tattoo shop to get your ears stretched.

You can also do it yourself at home.

Personally I would recommend you doing it at home. It will cost you a lot less in the long run, you will be able to go at your own pace AND you will like your lobes that much more if you've stretched them by yourself- it's so rewarding, which is why most people chose to do it themselves.

I am guessing you have a regular earring in atm? If so depending on how long you've had it you can probably go to a 1.6mm (14g) with no problems. If you've not had it for long you should be going for a 16g I believe (Im english, its kinda hard to convert our sizes but im doing my best.)

What you need to do is go into a piercing shop, ask the people who work there what size your ear is currently. Then ask them what the next size up is- then you need to buy that and buy a taper in that size too.

A taper is basically like a metal pin...it starts small at one end then gradually increases in size up until it reaches the very end where it reaches the desired size (eg.the end will be a 14g)  To stretch your ear you should take a hot shower and massage your lobe for about five minutes to losen up the tissue and make it easier to stretch. Then you take the taper, put lube on it (to help with insertion- this is a must) and then gradually slide the taper in till it reaches the end. Once it reaches the end you need to take it out and pop your plug/tunnel desired jewellery in.

After that you should treat it as a new piercing and wait at least a month before stretching again. Then you need to repeat the process in the next size up.

    The sizes- 16g,14g,12g,10g,8g,6g,4g,2g,0g,00g

English sizes would be 1.2mm,1.6mm,2mm,3mm,4mm,5mm,6mm,8mm 10mm

As you can see I've missed out a size in the english sizing chart. The reason being is that the sizings are a little different over here and it can be difficult to work out.

Asking your piercer for info would be your best bet as far as sizing is concerned but the other things i have told you are accurate for sure.

    Good luck with this!

  3. well rele if u get a plain earpiercing it shoodnt stretch at all but if u get a gauge that is how they get stretched.
