Ear piercing?

Question

ya this week im goin 2 get my ear pierced like the outer cartliadge of it. i dotn think ti has a name or anythign but it is considered a body piercing so i ahve 2 go 2 a body piercing place. i was wondering if anybody of u has gotten it doen and if it hurts really bad. any advice would be great thanx

Everyone I've talked to says it hurts pretty bad.

My friend got hers done by her sister, and she said that it doesnt hurt. it just feels like a pinch.

well my cousin did my cartilage and it was a bad idea and I haven't went to get it don't professionally bc I'm getting my belly don't first!.

i got it done with a gun and i ended up in the hospital cuz it swelled so much and got so badly infected that the doctor said if i waited a few more days to a week it actually would have killed me, so dont get it done with a gun get it with a needle, and ya it does hurt alot!

Be very careful to keep it clean. Follow their care-and-cleaning instructions religiously. You will be VERY sorry if it gets infected. Also be sure they use a real gold earring for the initial piercing. If you get something cheap you might be allergic to the metal, which can HURT as though it's infected and LOOK like it's infected, but it's NOT.

Yeah, my friend (She's 14) just got it! She said it hurt like an 8 out of 10 -but it was only for a second. It hurt for like a week afterwards...but as long as she didnt touch it, it didnt hurt.

my friends did it at home and said it dont hurt at all. iono but the out results look pretty nice, so what a lil pain?

and she did it with and ear ring and your supposed to put ice to get the place all numbed out....but good luck.

I got it done a few years ago. Do NOT get it done with the piercing gun,it shatters your cartilage and makes the healing process very painful! Make sure to get it pierced with a needle..

if your taking about the top of the ear you could go to clarie's or icing (mostly in malls) if you do that its not going to hurt as bad cuz the use a gun and if  you go to the piercing place they use a needle and will hurt A LOT MORE  but good luck

I have never had this done but my coworker had part of her earring stuck in the cartilage today. I hope she gets it out before it gets infected.
