  1. If the ear is red and sore its probably infected. Use peroxide. You may have to take the earring out and sometimes hair gets into it and that can cause pain. Then clean it up and put the earring back in if you just had them pierced.

  2. Red, water is pussing out of it, bleeding, puffy, sore.

Use alcohol to disinfect it then antibiotic.

  3. If it looks like the earring is bein consumed by the ear it's infected. Try cleaning it 3 times a day wit ear care antiseptic from claires. If it gets worse go to a doctor.

  4. DONT USE ALCOHOL! it kills germs..yes...but it also kills germs that repair the peircing

if its puffy and red its fine...and if it is gushing out WHITE stuff its fine

but if its gushing out blood or brown stuff then its infected

if you got your cartilage pierced dont chage the earing for a year....

  5. Do NOT use peroxide or alcohol.

God d**n why do people think you should?

Your piercing is a puncture wound, not a cut or abrasion.

use what they gave you when you got it pierced.

If they didn't give you anything or you don't have it anymore, use unscented soap and water or sea salt and water.

I'm using sea salt solution on my cartilage and it does wonders.

But make sure it's SEA salt.
