Ear troubles. Much help appreciated :)?

Hi there!

Ok, for a week now, I've been having a lot of ear trouble.

Last week, my right ear began to ache randomly. I didn't go swimming, listen to any loud music, or anything like that.

So now it's a week later, and today both ears are bothering me. They sort of feel blocked, and feels like there is a lot of pressure in them. Plus, I have a bad headache, and I think my ears are making me have a bad headache.

Along with that, I feel very nauseous, but oddly I don't have a fever.

If it doesn't go away, then I am planning to go to the doctor Monday.

Can you suggest some remedies that will hold me over till Monday?

Thank you!

  1. Mineral Oil! Use a Q tip and bend your head sideways so it goes in there easier. It might feel weird, but it works very well for me.

  2. DO NOT insert anything into your ear canal!

I had exactly the same problem a few months ago and I couldn't think of anything that could have caused it. I went to my doctor and he said it was just a build up of ear wax. I was prescribed ear drops and then had my ear syringed. The syringing doesn't hurt at all and you will notice the difference straight away.
