Earing!!!!!!!! help me!

hi, well you see, i got my third whole peirced like 7 weeks ago, and now its badly infected! like the back where the earing back is, is so swollen that you can barly see the earing post sticking out, so i cant put the back on. are there and HOME remidies? please! help to put the swelling down! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As its been 7 weeks it should be healed well by now. I suspect you may have a hair twisted around the post of the earring. It happened to my friend who had the top part of her ear pierced. The only way to clean it up, is to take the stud out and clean it properly. You should soak the stud in some very hot water and salt. Bathe the earlobe gently in warm salted water or antiseptic to help the healing process. Be prepared though, you may have to take it out all together if it doesn't heal up.

If your going to leave the earing in then it should be an earing that is gold.  If you do that, then you can put alcohol or hydrogen peroxide on it once daily.  Not too much, it'll stay soft and not be able to heal properly.  If you don't have a gold post, I would recommend taking earing out and following the same procedure.  If all this fails, see the doc.  Good luck.

dab a water solution (salt and water) onto it.

you should really take the earring out you know!

cut it off!

no jk put some ice on it and try some neosporn or hydrogen poroxide and that might help.
