Earl Watson, T.J. Ford: Free agents Utah Jazz should target - NBA Feature (Part-2)
Earl Watson:
Earl Watson, who last played for the Utah Jazz in 2010-2011 season, is a free agent now. He played well for the Jazz for a single season but looking at his vast experience and consistent game, the Jazz management must re-sign him
for the future seasons.
Before coming into the Utah Jazz, Watson played for Indiana Pacers in 2009-2010 season and moved in the Jazz’s roster in 2010-2011. Apart from playing for the Pacers and Utah Jazz, Watson has also played for four other teams in
the National Basketball Association.
Starting his amateur career from the Washington High School Kansas City, Kansas, Watson’s game was soon recognised by many basketball experts and he made his way into the biggest basketball league in the world. He was selected
by the Seattle Super Sonics as the 39th overall pick in the second round of 2001 NBA draft. Playing in his rookie season, Watson averaged 3.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game.
Later he went on to play for the Memphis Grizzlies for next three seasons and eventually made his way into the Denver Nuggets in 2005-2006. After playing just 46 games, he was traded to the Super Sonics. Watson has also played
for the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2008-2009.
T.J. Ford:
T.J. Ford is an unrestricted free agent this year. He last played for the Indiana Pacers in 2010-2011 season. His free agency is provoking many teams in the NBA but at the moment no team has publically showed interest in him. He
is a vastly experienced player while his consistent game has always impressed many.
The Utah Jazz’s management is planning very hard to include several valuable players into its roster and T.J Ford is one of the best available choices for Jazz. Having seven years of NBA experience, Ford will certainly prove very
beneficial for the Jazz.
Though, his last season’s performance was not impressive but still Jazz’s must consider his free agency. He played total 41 regular season’s game and averaged 5.4 points, 2.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists per game. His injury was the main
reason why he could not play more games in the last season, but as soon as he was recovered, he did start two playoffs’ games and scored some valuable points.
Jamal Crawford:
Jamal Crawford is one of the most experienced players in the NBA. So far, he has played total eleven years in the league. The last 2010-2011 season was his last year with the Atlanta Hawks as he became an unrestricted free agent
at the end of the season. Though, his free agency is provoking many teams but at the moment, the Utah Jazz is looking more determined to include him to strengthen its current roster.
Crawford, who made his way into NBA in 2000, is still playing with great energy. His career average is still pretty consistent. Last season, he played total 76 games in the regular season and averaged 14.2 points, 1.7 rebounds,
and 3.2 assists per game. He was also pretty consistent in the post season where he led his team to the first round win against Orlando Magic. His brilliant ball play proved lethal for the Magic as he scored with an average of 20.5 points per game and cruised
away with victory.
