Question:

Early Childhood Education Permit?

I have been taking ChDv classes for the past two years. I have 22 units now. However, I got my B.A in art and religious studies a couple of years back. In the process of taking ChDv classes I've been working in Early Ed. for the past two years.

I'm starting the graduate program next semester in Early Childhood Education. I'm so disappointed in myself for not getting the needed 24 units this semester to apply for the permit. I thought I would get it done this summer, but it looks like my schedule is not going to work out at all.

My question is, when I take the two classes required for the masters program next semester, will that qualify me to apply for the ECC permit for teacher or master teacher?

I asked my professor, but it looks like she is on a very long summer vacation and wont get back to me until school starts.

Thanks for your help!

  1. Contact another advisor in the education department. I think you will qualify, but i don't want to risk steering you wrong. your state may have different requirements than mine.
