Question:

Early Playoff Predictions....I say.....You?

Ok, so with no doubt, we know The Angels are in. Just cant see the inconsistent A's or the pitching starved Rangers doing damage to them. However, what about the following:

Rays taking division and Yankees as WC. That leaves the shocked Red Sox all too surprised, and now will focus on trading Manny to where he wants and less distractions for the team. This COULD happen you know.

I could see and think that Minny will over take the inconsistent, over rated White Sox. Thats The AL.

In the NL, in the East I see Mets swiping sweat, and able to hold their breathes at another close finish, this time spoiling The Phillies chances, and withholding The Marlins by 2 games.

IN The Central, I think Brewers are going to continue to make noise and with much thanks to CC and a more consistent offense. Bye Bye Cards. ( Not enough pitching).

IN The Weak West, Arizona will hold on and hold off Dodgers and the surging Rockies. WC goes to Cubbies.

Your predictions, and why?

  1. Ok I got it going like this

    AL West

Angels, I predict they are the only team this year to win 100 games.

    AL Central

White Sox, Jermaine Dye equals MVP of that team and maybe of the league,( Hamilton is on a sucky team he is jsut padding his stats)

    AL East

Yankees, with the resurgence of Mussina I see them back in front in a week or so

    NL West

Dodgers, pitching staff is one of the best in the NL and Blake will really help that offensively starved offense

    NL Central

Brewers, real good hitting team and CC and Sheets will carry them to the promise land, plus the cubs to me dont have the pitching

    NL East

Mets, it KILLS me to say this, but they are just on a roll and dont seem to be slowing.

  2. GoBRavos - The cubs dont have the pitching?!?!

Try Big Z, Rich Harden, and Ryan Dempster plus one of the best bullpens in the league...the Brewers barely have a bullpen

    AL East- Red Sox

    AL Central - Twins

    AL West - Angels

    AL Wild Card - Yankees

    NL East - Mets

    NL Central - Cubs

    NL West - D-Backs

    NL Wild Card - Brewers

Cubs win the World Series! :) (hopefully)

  3. AL East - Boston Red Sox -best home record

AL Central - Chicago White Sox - can win if Tigers don't make any moves before trade deadline

AL West - OC Angels - Only dominant team in the AL West. Texas can pose a threat, but it's too late in the season for them to actually make a run for it.

AL Wildcards - NY Yanks and Minnesota Twinkies

    ------------------------------

NL East - Philadelphia Phillies - Will come out on top

NL Central - Milwaukee Brewers - With the addition of CC, and Durham, they have a potential WS winner.

NL W(orst)est- Arizona Diamondbacks - No one else in the west comes close to the pitching talent they have. Especially now that they've added D. Haren.

NL Wildcards - Chicago Cubbies & NY Mets

WS - Brewers vs. Boston - even thought like the NFL last season, the TV Markets might want to see a Chicago Cubs vs. Boston or NY Yanks series.

  4. Angels are in liek you said no doubt. No wild card in that division. In AL east its the Red Sox on top and the Rays with the wild card. Soryy Yankees. In AL Central I say Tigers come all the way back and take over the division and hold it, and thats the A.L. In the N.L. east I say Marlins win the division, and the Phillies win the W.C. In the N.L central I say Cubs win the division holding the Brewers and Cardinals out, and in the West, Arizona cant hold off the Dadgers or Rockies( finish in 3rd ) ,and the Dodgers inch off the Rockies by 1 and a half. A.L.C.S. Tigers v.s. Angels. Winner= Tigers. N.L.C.S. Dodgers v.s. Cubs. Winner = Cubs. W.S. winner = cinderella Tigers, and im not even a huge Tiger fan. Just think they have the power to come back and rebound to win the world series.

  5. AL WEST-angels. I agree with you for the same reasons you stated.

CENTRAL-White Sox. I think the Twins will hang in until the very end, but i just dont think they have enough power to win it.

EAST- Red Sox. I just dont think the Rays will be able to hold on mainly because of their inexperience and the pennant race experience of both the Sox and Yankees

WILD CARD-Yankees. They are really coming on strong, and I dont think any of the other wild card contenders will keep up (if they dont pass Boston)

NL WEST-Arizona. I have to pick some team from this division. I think they have the best pitching in the division, so im picking them.

CENTRAL-Brewers. I believe that they are going to really run away with the division. I think the Cubs have started their freefall.

EAST-Mets. They are too hot, and have the best pitching in the division.

WILD CARD-Phillies. I am going against pretty much every one else, but i really dont believe the Cubs will make the playoffs.
