  1. I know that everyone thinks rafa will win but federer will obviously challenge him.  Another person who will most likely get to the final is Novak Djockovic who last year in a major beat Roddick, then Nadal, then Federer to win the

    major championship.

  2. In the mens singles I think these players will do really well:

Rafael Nadal - OF COURSE! He's the new world number one, and he just won the Olympic gold! He'll come in with full confidence! And his hard court game's improved SO much! He's one of the major contenders.

Novak Djokovic - He's one of the strongest hard court players today. His serve's great and he has a brilliant chance to win it.

Roger Federer - I STILL think he'll do well. He won the doubles gold at the Olympics, and he'll probably HATE it if he loses more points. He'll give it everything he's got!

Andy Murray - He just won a major title by beating Djokovic. His hard court game's really good. He has a good chance!!

In the women's singles, I'm predicting these players to do well:

The William sisters - They're playing SO well, they won the doubles gold and its their home Slam!

Dinara Safina - She's in super form, and she'll go really far in the US Open.

Ana Ivanovic - She's the world number one, and she's definitely do great this year!

Jelena Jankovic - I love her game! She's one of the contenders for sure.

  3. I personally would love to see another Federer/Nadal final.  I think this is totally possible.  Rafa is hot right now and I believe that if they do meet, Rafa will win not only because of his tenacity, but he is in Fed's head and not in a positive way.  But keep an eye out of Djoko!!  This is his favorite surface.

Bottom line, Rafa is finally going to take a Grand Slam on hardcourt, its been coming and now I believe it is here.

  4. Red-hot favorites are Nadal, Federer and Djokovic followed by the always dangerous Americans Roddick & Blake.

Darkhorses: Davydenko (always very constant in GS), Del Potro (red-hot on hard courts this season, won 4 tournaments in a row, incredible winning streak), Ferrer (wouldn't be surprised to see him in the second week), Haas (if he's confident, he can make it to the second week), Murray (talented but lacking consistency), Youzhny (dangerous if healthy),

Ones to watch : Gulbis (could cause one or two upsets but too young to be a potential winner), Wawrinka (top 10 player, still improving but lacking great results in GS), Berdych (did not have a fantastic season so far but is always on threat on hardcourts), Safin (you never really know what to expect from him in a GS but he could cause an upset here and there), Tipsarevic & Tursunov are also dangerous on fast surfaces.

As for the women's draw, it is once again very open since Justine Henin retired plus the fact that Maria Sharapova is injured. The Williams sisters are my top favorites, followed by the Russians (Safina, Dementieva, Kuznetsova), the Serbians (Ivanovic, Jankovic). Ones to watch: Lindsay Davenport, Agnieszka Radwanska, Caroline Wozniacki, Alizé Cornet, Dominika Cibulkova, Victoria Azarenka, Nadia Petrova.

  5. This is going to be tough, but I think my predictions are solid.

    For men either:

    - Rafael Nadal - He's hot, he's the best on the tour, and honestly, the only person I think can beat him on hardcourt is Djokovic, and Nadal just beat him.

    - Djokovic - He is the best hardcourt player on the tour

Honestly, I don't see anyone winning it besides these two, but they'll have to look out for Federer, Murray, Blake, Roddick and Davydenko.

    For the women either:

    - Dinara Safina - She's hot, and I think she really wants this slam since losing the gold. If she has managed to improve her serve (the only reason she didn't win gold) she definitely has a great shot at winning.

    - Elena Dementieva - She's been to the finals here before and she has so much confidence from winning that gold medal.

    - Serena Williams - She wants revenge, and she was playing great in the olympics.

Of course, there's Venus, Ivanovic and Jankovic in the way. They are decent contenders as well. And Venus will beat Jankovic if they meet.

  6. Djokovic win :)

    and

    one of the Williams..

  7. I think you are compeletly wrong. The final of U.S open...?! There is a famous sentence" History repeat it's self"

  8. rafa nadal will win

  9. federer

  10. Im going to just state the obvious Nadal, Federer or Djokovic.

    Venus or Serena!!!
