  1. work with kids

  2. For children...for the children's rights and that children need to be respected...

based on the individual ECP philosophis and beliefs, we also advocate for what we think is right for our children, for example, children learn through play and etc..

  3. A big issue right now is the push for Universal Preschool across the country. There are still alot of states, including mine (Louisiana) that still do not allow every child to enroll into prek. Another thing that we advocate for is the education of children to be taught in a developmentally appropriate way. In LA we follow the book Developmentally Appropriate Practices where everything we teach young children is hands on. We do not use workbooks or worksheets. Research has shown that children learn best hands on. Basically, the main thing we advocate for in a nut shell is the free and appropriate education of all young children regardless of their family's income or background.

  4. development. growth and well being. if you have a good one

  5. They currently advocate (if you mean regarding their own concerns, not the concerns of young children) for a standardized pay schedule on a par with other educators.

The problem is that preschools are not as commonly state funded as other programs, and no one considers early childhood workers to be the "professionals" other educators are.

In a nutshell, for years they have been pushing for better pay.
