Early childhood unit?

I have been assigned to an early childhood unit for kids with special needs. What are some definite "must haves?"

Example: changing table, mats, computer, music, BIG books, manipulatives...

  1. What are you asking for? What type of a unit is it? Do you need advice on lessons? Or are you looking for things that you should have in your room to accomidate special needs? What age group is this for?


  2. Don't forget about inclusion. Children with special needs, needs to be included in every aspect of the center. You can get allot of information on different states web sites.

    check with the county that you live in and see if they have a collation for children w/special needs. If they do, they will be happy to loan needed items to you free of charge.

    You local library will be a good source of info as well.

    do you mean stranger danger ,how to cross road,safety bushing there teeth is a  life survival then just get them activities and if they enjoy your company then they would listen and learn
