  1. yes it would help u when u apply for collage, its up to u if u wanna graduate early, if u feel like u are ready to take up the next level of life then go for it, talk to people who are in collage and see what they say about collage, my brother misses school and wishes he didn't graduate early. school is where the fun is and collage is where seriousness begins.

  2. When I was in high school I had the opportunity to graduate early (at the end of my junior year). I talked about with my parents and they told me that they didn't feel I should do that, as it would take away from the "high school experience." Ten years later...I'm glad I listened to them.

If you have all of your graduation requirements completed, then you can apply for early graduation. You would speak to your Guidance Counselor and they will give you the necessary paperwork. The way that you graduate early is to complete all of your "core" classes that are required and make sure you have the necessary credits for graduation. If you tell your Guidance Counselor that you intend to graduate early, they will help you in enrolling in the courses that you need. If the state you live requires that you pass a standardized test for graduation, of course that requirement would also have to be satisfied.

Would it look good for when you apply to colleges? Yes and no. If you have excellent grades, are involved in a lot of extracurricular activities, and have community service hours...yes it would look good. But keep in mind that graduating early does not earn you points with college admission. They look at the same requirements if you graduated in 3 or 4 years. If you graduated in 3 years and made C averages in all your courses, then graduating early will not matter. If you made all As and Bs...then that will make a difference, but it is the same as if you attended all 4 years.

My suggestion...go for the 4 years. Senior year is sooo much fun. You have grad night, prom, and a lot of memorable experiences. I am so glad that I did not graduate at the end of eleventh grade as it allowed me to be with my friends for one more year. Not only that, but since all of my graduation requirements were almost complete by the end of 11th grade...it allowed me to take AP courses and Dual Enrollment courses in my Senior year. Since I had to specifically deal with those courses, I achieved good grades and got a 4 or a 5 on the AP exams and that looked REALLY good to colleges. I was also taking Dual Enrollment courses at the University, so I "got my feet wet" with the college experience before saying good-bye to high school in 3 years and the being bombarded with college when I should have been enjoying high school.

Get all your core courses done in 3 years....take AP and Dual Enrollment courses in your Junior and Senior years (you say you're smart so just do it) and when you do well on those...college admissions will look favorably and accept you. Good luck in whatever you decide!

  3. you have to earn all of your credits that are required to make you graduate b4 12th grade if you want to graduate early. try getting rid of your study halls and taking extra classes to get more credits. yes it would look good when you apply to colleges.
