Question:

Early pregnancy and progesterone levels help?

I am in my 6th week of pregnancy. At about 4 weeks is when I happily discovered I was pregnant. I asked my np at the time if I could have my progesterone checked, d/t the fact I had luteal phase problems before (at 7 dpo my progesterone was a 3.5 in previous cycles). I was also taking clomid to correct this but it only bumped it up to 10 or 11 days. This was my third and final round of clomid 50mg, before they referred me out. So I got the BFP and my progesterone was a normal 29. I asked if I should have it checked again and they said that was not necessary. I'm kinda nervous about this and miscarriage. Does anyone have any experience with this? Do progesterone levels have a chance of dropping or am I just paranoid?

  1. 29 is a good number. If pregnancy is otherwise healthy your progesterone will not drop. Congratulations!
